City settlement moves forward

It’s not all wrapped up yet, but a proposed $3.25 million settlement between the city of Great Falls and its bankrupt wholesale power supplier is now in the pipeline.
Lee Freeman, appointed trustee for the Southern Montana Electric Generation and Transmission Cooperative of Billings, Wednesday asked the federal bankruptcy court to approve the settlement brokered by former Montana Supreme Court Justice Jim Regnier in a mediator role.
