Motion to liquidate denied
In a hearing held July 31 in Missoula, U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge Ralph Kirscher ruled to dismiss a motion to liquidate Southern Montana Electric Cooperative. The hearing revealed increasing distance between the various views of the viability of Southern as a power supplier. The judge also set dates for filing of an amended reorganization plan and hearings on the amended disclosure statement and confirmation of the plan.
