Settlement talks planned in bankruptcy

Settlement talks are planned next week in a dispute over the future of a bankrupt Montana power cooperative.
Members of the Southern Montana Electric Generation and Transmission Cooperative are seeking to liquidate its assets and break up the co-op.
But creditors who loaned the co-op money for a failed power plant project want it to stay intact so they can be repaid.
Co-op board members were meeting Friday to discuss the liquidation plan ahead of next week's negotiations in Billings.
