Southern hires attorney for bankruptcy case

Members of the bankrupt Southern Montana Electric Generation and Transmission Cooperative have hired an attorney and taken other steps as they regain control after the removal last week of the trustee by the judge hearing the case.
Southern has hired Malcolm Goodrich, a Billings bankruptcy attorney, as its lawyer, a move approved Tuesday by U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Ralph Kirscher.
