Southern seeks return of money paid to some creditors before bankruptcy filing

The trustee for Southern Montana Electric Generation and Transmission Cooperative wants several creditors to pay back money they received shortly before the Billings-based wholesale power supplier filed for bankruptcy.
Trustee Lee Freeman said in court records filed recently that the payments to the creditors were made while Southern was insolvent and fell within 90 days of its filing for reorganization Oct. 21, 2011.
