Bankruptcy judge hears case for removing Southern’s trustee

A bankruptcy judge on Wednesday indicated he was reluctant to remove a trustee he appointed to manage a broke Billings-based wholesale power cooperative but heard testimony on the issue anyway.
U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Ralph Kirscher said he would consider the matter and rule later on whether Trustee Lee Freeman, a Livingston-area attorney, would continue managing Southern Montana Electric Generation and Transmission Cooperative.
