Examination of Beartooth Electric postponed
The Laurel Outlook
The examination of Beartooth Electric Cooperative representative Arleen Boyd, scheduled for Friday, Sept. 20, in Billings, was postponed. A new date has not been set.
On Sept. 5, U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge Ralph Kirscher granted a motion authorizing Southern Montana Electric Generation and Transmission Cooperative Trustee Lee Freeman to examine Boyd and requiring Beartooth to produce certain documents and communications.
The Trustee’s Motion for Rule 2004 Examination asks Beartooth to produce documents and answer questions regarding “statements, representations, beliefs, criticisms, and communications in relation to the Trustee’s plans of reorganization and disclosure statements for debtor Southern Montana Electric Generation and Transmission Cooperative, Inc.”
“We will not stop our dialogue with our members because the Trustee has questioned our communications,” said Boyd. “We will continue to inform members, in detail and on time, as the Southern bankruptcy issues develop.”
